About the role
As Assistant Client Manager, you will work alongside Client Managers to manage the delivery of service in a customer facing role. You will support the delivery of:
- Statutory returns including accounts, corporation tax, VAT and self assessment tax returns
- Accounts, compliance and tax advice through email and telephone communication
- Guiding and helping team members progress and participating in appraisals
You will also be asked to:
- Review work prepared by support staff
- Support Client Managers in the maintenance of accurate billing and credit control processes
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge

About you
Our ideal Assistant Client Manager will have good working experience of producing statutory accounts with associated corporation tax computations, VAT returns, P11D returns and self assessment tax returns, will have good tax knowledge including small company taxation, VAT, PAYE and income tax. This role would be great for you if you’re driven, ambitious and want to develop your career and progress into owning a portfolio of clients.
The perfect candidate will:
- Have a passion for delivering great client service and developing strong client relationships
- Be able to manage multiple tasks in a busy working environment
- Have a proven ability to produce accounts and tax returns
- Have experience dealing with tax related questions, both business and personal
- Ideally hold, or already be studying towards an appropriate qualification in accountancy
- Be keen to develop their skills and have a desire to take on more responsibility
